Abu Dhabi-headquartered CPX Holding, a leading provider of cyber and physical security solutions, has acquired SpiderSilk, a UAE-based cyber-AI product company, it announced on Wednesday. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 2019 by Rami El Malak and Mossab Hussein, SpiderSilk has developed AI-powered defensive technologies including its flagship exposure management platform, Resonance, autonomous SOC AI agents, and a cyber intelligence platform.

According to its website, SpiderSilk’s platform continuously defends against non-coded vulnerabilities, brand risks, source code exposure, third-party weaknesses, and dark web leaks. The company serves clients across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.

The acquisition combines CPX’s expertise in threat detection and remediation with SpiderSilk’s AI-driven technologies, enabling expansion into key international markets including North America, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC region.

SpiderSilk’s R&D center will continue to operate, creating new solutions as part of CPX. Global Ventures and Dara Holdings, investors in SpiderSilk, will remain involved to support CPX’s growth. The Dubai-headquartered startup had raised a total of over $11 million, including a $9 million round in November 2023.

CPX, a G42 company founded in 2022, employs over 600 cyber and physical security specialists serving enterprises, governments, and critical infrastructure sectors in the UAE and beyond. The acquisition aligns with the UAE’s vision to foster cutting-edge technological growth and reinforces its position as a strategic hub for cybersecurity innovation.
